Here at Connecticut Chiropractic, LLC, we have many different services to fit your specific needs. Whether you are experiencing back pain, sports injury, or are just looking to improve your health, we can help.
To assist all of our patients, we offer the following services:
Manipulation restores joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become restricted due to a tissue injury. Manipulation of the affected joint and tissues restores mobility, thereby alleviating pain and muscle tightness, and allowing tissues to heal.
Therapeutic Exercise. Core Stability combines strength, balance and coordination of the muscles that control the entire trunk and spine.
Regular conditioning of the core muscles is essential to prevent injuries and correct posture. Functional Training incorporates agility, stability, and dynamic movement to improve performance.
Active Release Technique® is a movement-based soft tissue technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Because ART providers are trained in 300+ muscular and 100+ nerve injuries, seeing an ART provider is like seeing a muscle and nerve specialist.
Myofascial Release involves stretching the fascia (a seamless web of connective tissue that covers and connects the muscles, organs, and skeletal structures).
Trigger Point Therapy / Ischemic Compression, uses direct pressure over trigger points (irritable nodules in taut bands of muscle), to relax the muscle fibers and restore circulation.
Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Fascilitation (PNF) supports nervous system functions to restore normal muscular activity. It often involves stretching techniques to rapidly increase flexibility.
Acupuncture, a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), was developed thousands of years ago. It is based upon the smooth flow of energy or qi, which travels along meridians (channels) throughout the body. If the flow of qi is disrupted, pain and illness occur. Points along the meridians regulate the flow of qi and can be stimulated with needles or other instruments. Once the smooth flow of qi returns, pain disappears and health is restored.
The Graston Technique®, originally developed by athletes, is changing the way clinicians — including physical and occupational theraptists, hand therapists, chiropractors and athletic trainers — and patients view treatment of acute and chronic soft tissue injuries.
Dry Needling refers to the therapeutic effect of applying needle stimulation directly to trigger points without the use of injection. Dry needling utilizes a very thin flexible solid filament needle. The needle physically and neurologically disrupts the tension and pressure within the involved tissues. It helps release the tissue encouraging a return to a more normal and improved level of function.
StemWave StemWave is an FDA listed medical device that utilizes harmless, yet powerful acoustic waves to activate the body’s natural healing mechanisms.
